Sadie Sara Horne

Sadie Sara Horne, 83, of Conyers, passed away at her residence Friday morning, September 11th, 2020 with her family around her. She was born in Henry County to the late James Curtis and Ollie B. Goss and also preceded in death by her husband, Virgle Clyde Horne. Among Sadie’s hobbies she enjoyed sewing, fishing, cooking big dinners for her family, going to flea markets, visiting the mountains and taking care of her grandchildren. Sadie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Conyers. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many. Sadie will be dearly missed by everyone especially her family. Sadie is survived by her children and their spouses, Della Mae Horne of Conyers, William Curtis and Lucy Horne of Monroe, Virgle Eli and Yvonne Horne of Conyers, Sadie Edith Wheeler of Conyers and Timothy Mark Horne of Conyers; sisters, Jeannette Horne of Conyers, Lois Goss of Conyers, Mildred Evans of Rome, Reesie Canup of Covington and Marie Turner of Covington; brothers and their spouses, T. C. and Sara Goss of Conyers, Levi and Charlene Goss of Covington; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 14th, 2020 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services, 11405 Brown Bridge Rd, Covington, GA 30016. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 15th, 2020 at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Mack Goss officiating. Graveside Service will follow at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, 315 Oglesby Bridge Rd SE, Conyers, GA 30094.
