Charlotte Oslin Tuck

Charlotte Oslin Tuck, 95, of Covington, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Riverside Healthcare. She was born January 10, 1926 in Atlanta, GA to the late Alfred L. and Emily Dunn Oslin. Charlotte graduated from Girls High School in Atlanta in 1943. She graduated Georgia Junior College in 1945 and then went on to the University of Georgia where she majored in Home Economics, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in 1947. While there she met the love of her life, Bob at Wesley Foundation and they were married in 1948. They remained a couple until his passing in 2017. She began a career in Food Service at Davison’s in Atlanta, worked at Floyd County Hospital, was on the faculty of the University of Georgia, before becoming the mother of 4 daughters. After the girls were older and Charlotte began working away from home, she worked in Food Service Management in the Wesley Woods facilities. Charlotte finished her career working with the State of Georgia in School Food and Nutrition. The last 4 years of her life have been spent at Riverside Healthcare. Over the years, Charlotte has been a member of Martha Brown UMC, Athens FUMC, Belvedere UMC, Christ Fellowship of Stone Mountain, and was ministered to by Covington First UMC in her final years. Throughout her life, Charlotte was known by everyone who came in contact with her, for her kindness, precious spirit and selfless generosity. “Miss Charlotte” was greatly loved and will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Tuck, and daughter Linda Moore. Left to cherish her sweet memory are her daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis (Rocky) Scott, Cindy (Thom) Barker, Deborah (Dan) Clark; grandchildren, Angie (Cory) Craver, Anna (David) Dollar, Geoff (Vanessa) Barker, Danielle Clark (Danny Verstrat), Drew Scott, Jacklyn Byrd, Johnny Scott; great-grandchildren, Katie, Sarah, Liam, Emily, Cale, Maggie; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Covington First United Methodist Church,1113 Conyers Street, Covington, GA 30014.
