[To View The Livestream of This Service Click The Link Below] https://view.oneroomstreaming.com/authorise.php?k=1631923437137441 Donald Paul (Gabby) Kahle, age 80, born in Oil City, Pennsylvania on May 10th 1941, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. Don graduated from Clarion-Limestone High School in 1960. He moved to GA in 1966 and was a long-time resident of Oxford, GA. Mr. Kahle was of the Baptist Faith and a faithful member of Eastridge Christian Church. He was an active member of the Joyful Noise small group and Sammy Osburn’s Adult Bible Class. Mr. Kahle was an avid Steeler’s fan, enjoyed going to football games, camping with family and friends. He loved to bowl in his younger years and bowled for years in his younger days on a weekly bowling league in Forest Park. Mr. Kahle loved tinkering in the yard with his John Deere tractor. He was a United States Army Veteran, proudly served 3 years and was deployed to Korea after the Korean War and served 14 months as a heavy equipment operator. Don received the Good Conduct Medal and was classified as a sharp shooter. He was honorably discharged in 1966. Mr. Kahle worked as a purchasing agent for 35 years with Bio-Lab in both Conyers and Decatur. But his most favorite job was being a husband, father and grandfather. Preceded in death by his parents: Virgil Bird Kahle and Bertha E. (Smail) Kahle; one brother: James E. (Marion) Kahle and three sisters: Marie (Ron) Williams, Jean (Willard) Sheatz and Nancy (Thad) Miles. Survived by his loving wife of 56 years: Cheryl Lynn (Curll) Kahle, two daughters: Tara (Mike) Palmer, Correy (Jon) Weathersby and one son: Greg (Gracie) Kahle and three grandchildren: McKayla Shuman, Dylan Palmer and Reid Weathersby, step-grandchildren: Ryan Palmer, Jesi (John Mark) Davenport, Trevor (Alexandra) Weatherby. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Scott Moore officiating. A private inurnment will follow at a later date at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro, GA. Guests may send condolences to www.wheelerfuneralhome.com.
