Mack Kenneth Taylor Sr.

Mack Kenneth Taylor, Sr, age 74, of Stockbridge, went to be with his Heavenly Father, Saturday, May 23, 2020. He was born May 21, 1946 in Stockbridge, GA to the late Cecil and Eva Taylor. Kenneth was also preceded in death by his son, Mack Kenneth Taylor, Jr.; brother, Jerry Taylor; brothers-in-law, Bobby Floyd, Hugh Flowers and Sonny Hardy. Kenneth's greatest love was for his Savior, Jesus Christ. Second he loved the gift of his wife and family. He especially enjoyed hunting with his boys, whether it was deer, dove, rabbits or raccoons. He loved to fish from the banks or the beach, as long as he was surrounded by his family. Kenneth loved riding his tractor and was happy planting, plowing, and cutting or baling hay. People would come from miles during "Hog Killin" time to place their order for his fresh homemade sausage. Kenneth gave his life to Jesus in 1972 and was called into ministry. He has been an Assembly of God minister for over 35 years and pastored in the Georgia District. He was also an Assoc. Pastor for several churches. He was most recently serving in ministry with Pastor Ken Smith at Community Church of Praise. Kenneth was a licensed electrical contractor for forty years and owned and operated Kenneth Taylor Electric. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Peggy Flowers Taylor of Stockbridge; sons & daughters-in-law, Pastor Tim and Lea-Ann Taylor of Covington, Andy and Kyndal Taylor of Monticello, Stephen and Rachel Taylor of Social Circle; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Taylor, Madison Taylor, Kacen Taylor and Kellan Taylor; sister, Patsy Austin of Stockbridge; sisters-in-law, Joy Hardy of McDonough, Helen Floyd of Lagrange, and Judy Flowers of Norcross; brothers-in-law, Kelley (Marie) Richardson of Locust Grove and Johnny Flowers of Conyers; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A Home Going Service for Kenneth will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 11:00 am at Community Church of Praise, 3851 Union Church Rd, SW, Stockbridge GA, 30281 with Pastor Ken Smith and Pastor Tim Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held at Community Church of Praise Tuesday evening, May 26, 2020 from 6pm to 8pm and Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at the church from 10 am to 11 am, 1 hour prior to the service. Due to the current COVID-19 and coronavirus pandemic recommendations, those who are able to attend are encouraged to practice social distancing.
