Born on June 19,1928, in Portland, Jamaica to the late Hubert Alphonso Harris and the late Epsie Valentine Shackleford. Percival was a cherished member of his community. Throughout his life, Percival dedicated himself to his faith, actively participating in church activities and events. His devotion to his beliefs and his kind, generous spirit touched the lives of many in his community. Percival will be remembered for his unwavering faith, warm smile, and the countless lives he impacted through his service. He is survived by his wife, Mabel Clemetson Harris; Children: Beverly (Phillip) Mitchell, Cleveland (Sonia) Harris of Toronto, Canada, Gloria (Michael) Harris of Brampton, Canada, Irolda Harris of Georgia, Leona Harris of Fairy Hill Estate, Portland, Jamaica, Anthony Harris of Ft, Lauderdale, Fl., stepson, Lloyd (Verolyn) McPherson of Cayman Islands, adopted son Khalid Wheeler of Atlanta, Ga.; Grandchildren: Patricia Mitchell & Bryan Mitchell of Toronto, Canada, Anthony Harris, Karen Harris, Trevor Harris, Jamie Harris, Corey Harris all of Canada, Shane Lawrence of Georgia, Leonique Cunningham of Jamaica, Torian and Ariana Harris of New York, Iralda McPherson of Trinidad; Great-Grandchildren: Kai, Annika, Mala, Darius, Jayden, Kaden, Jasmine all of Toronto, Canada, Genesis Raye and Raphael Harris of Brampton, Canada, Kaicen Lawrence of Georgia, Tashieka, Asisa, Antwon, Armani, Kevonae; Sisters: Edith Shackleford, Sarah Shackleford and Linnette (Aunty Dun Dun) Shackleford; Brother:, Stanley McFarlane, and Donald Harris. Percival is preceded in death by his father, Hubert Alphanso Harris and mother, Epsie Valentine Shackleford; stepson Kenneth McPherson; brothers, Uton Harris, Derrick Shackleford and sister, Lilla Shackleford. Percival will be greatly missed by family and friends. A funeral service to honor Percival's life will be held at the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
