Sara Frances (Ivey) Goss

Sara Frances (Ivey) Goss, 82, of Conyers, passed away Wednesday, March 5th, 2025, at Piedmont Rockdale Hospital. She was born in Milstead to the late George and Frances (Day) Ivey. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence Ivey and J.C. Ivey, and brothers-in-law, Jerry Ford and Charles Montgomery. A lifelong Christian, Sara loved the Lord. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school and loved spending time at church. Sara was a member of Honey Creek Baptist Church and had been attending Living Waters Baptist Tabernacle. A devoted wife, momma, Maw-maw, Great Maw-maw, sister, aunt, and friend to many, Sara was a joy to be around. She loved her husband of 66 years, T.C., and her family, which was evident by all the delicious meals she prepared. Sara was one of the greatest cooks you could ever have the pleasure of sitting at her table. Her biscuits were unbelievable. Sara liked to sing with her family and enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. She loved to travel to mountains and had many fond memories of her trips to England and Australia. She will be dearly missed by all who have had the great experience of getting to know her. Her sweet memories will forever be cherished by her beloved husband T.C. Goss of Conyers; children and their spouses, Eddie Goss of Conyers, Mack and Kelly Goss of Conyers, Naomi and Paul Carter of Monticello, Denise and Lou Campfield of Covington; grandchildren and their spouses, Brandy Banks, Domanique and Lindsey McFalls, Chase and Lori Goss, Brittany and Brandon Cook, Dalton Carter, Christal and Andy Eade, Desirae and Josh Shelton, Danielle and B.J. Steele, Colton Campfield and Heaven Goss; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Myrtice and Larry Montgomery, Judy Montgomery, JoAnn Ford, Debra and Mike Murphy, Janie and Dinky Worthy; brothers and sisters-in-law, Troy and Barbara Ivey, Robert and Rhonda Ivey, Roy and Debbie Ivey; sisters-in-law, Reda Ivey and Peggy Ivey; and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 10th, 2025, at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services with Brother Jimmy Hammond and Brother Russell Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow immediately after at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, March 9th, 2025, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Monday, March 10th, 2025, from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm.
